A few weeks ago I read on a fellow bloggers website about an opportunity. We are flooded with lots of ways about how to help raise money for breast cancer but have you ever stopped to ask how much money actually goes to where you think it does? Well, I was excited when I heard about this opportunity on the Varian Website
Here is the result:
Cancer!
Who are you? Why would you do this? What have we done to you? You don’t know me! You don’t know my family! What have we done wrong that could warrant the relentless fight that you have not only put my precious Mum through but me as well as other numerous family members and friends. I could excuse you if you were chasing only the inherently evil but you put my Mum through torment and then you took her! How could you? She has never consciously put anyone through any pain or hurt. She was the gentlest person I ever had the privilege of knowing. How could you? You have no idea the pain and emotional turmoil you’ve put my family through. My father is at a loss without my Mum as is my brother. To top this, you not only took my Mum but you have dared to rare your ugly self again in my body. How dare you?! If it wasn’t enough to question whether I would live to see my son grow up, I loose my wonderful Mum but you’re back. Has my family not been through enough? I hate you more then you could ever know. I can feel it in every inch of my being – you make my joints go all weak with anger and want to scream. The worrying thing is that you are undeterred and you go on silently taking loved ones. So brutal! However, you are also my silver lining – I am more determined then ever to beat you!
To balance or not to balance: that is the question…

This morning we spent the morning with friends. Not ones, although they live close to us, that we seem to go on playdates with often. However, the boys do see each other regularly at nursery. It was a great morning. Our little convoy set off to visit the local Apache farm. It was amusing to see the boys’ reactions to the animals, cycling in convoy and hearing the general banter. Too sweet. However, while witnessing all these musings, you couldn’t help but take in the change of colours. It’s a stunning time of year – I would even go on to say, probably my favourite. I love the change in seasons. There’s a hint of cold in the air and an array of beautiful golds and bronzes in the leaves. Of course, jumping in piles of leaves and hearing them crunch under foot is exhilarating and fun! I digress…back to the boys on their bikes:) I was wondering and maybe you could help me out. J has a 12″ bike with stabilisers. I didn’t think much of it as we had similar bikes growing up. However, there seems to be trend to use something called a balance bike. Now, they seem pricey for what they are but this friend Stef says that her son can now ride a pedal bike, without stabilisers, no problem. He is the same age as J! It got me thinking – am I holding my son back or should I try taking his stabilisers off now? He does love his bike and I would hate for him to stop riding it because he finds it too much work? What have you done?Fishn’Chicken

We visited the Fishn’Chicken just off Nacton Road where Gary is the manager. We arrived at 11:25 to a very welcoming and friendly young man whom we were to find out was Gary. Its official opening times are 11:30am – 10pm but, that didn’t stop Gary from letting us in and taking our order. Everything was freshly cooked infront of us, it was quick and very yummy!! The actual shop was clean and presentable. They do kids portions and have a kids club. We have signed up and are looking forward to getting our vouchers! The cherry on the top was that you could get a cod and chips for £3! Fantastic value:)
The start of something interesting, fun and most of all informative:)

I thought I should publish something short to start me off. I’m a 30 something Mum living in Suffolk with two beautiful young children and a very loving and overworked husband:). My reason for starting a blog is to find something that not only stimulates the long forgotten grey matter, have an account of where the weeks have gone but also to write something that my readers will find helpful. So the master plan is…to write a synopsis of our week’s adventures, challenges and general chitter chatter as well as reviews of places we’ve visited. I will leave you with this from arewethereyetmummy blog . So until next week – have a good weekend!
